Captain Colin Rogers welcomes you to the Men’s section of the Black Bush Golf Club website. I am honoured to be your Captain for this year and to lead such a special Golf club.
I would like to welcome all members, especially our newest members to our Golf Club and hope you are enjoying both the golf and social aspects to our club. I would also ask all members to consider booking and using our extensive clubhouse facilities for family events or for corporate events.
We are a 27 hole, member owned parkland Golf club that due to the excellent work and stewardship over the years, we are in a good position financially while still offering exceptional value for money memberships.
The club has a schedule of events this year to suit all standards of golfer. Our mid-week Open Competitions are designed to attract golfers of all ages and abilities. On Mondays we have our Bunnies (18+ Handicap) and Blue Mondays (lower Handicaps). Tuesdays on the Men’s calendar, we have our very popular 9 hole Swinging 60’s. On Wednesdays and Thursdays there are singles stableford competitions, with Thursday being a seniors (over 50’s) competition.
Our weekend competitions are a mixture of Singles and Team Competitions. Except for our Majors and golfer of the year competitions most of our other singles are open competitions. Team Competitions in Black Bush have proved to be very popular over the years. The combination of our excellent parkland course, high quality catering and friendly atmosphere all makes for a great day out. Our Friday evening social golf also offers an opportunity for both golfers and non-golfers to come together for our “Nine and Dine” experience.
The Black Bush is very proud to host a number of charity events throughout the year including the very popular “County Colours Day” in aid of the Gary Kelly Cancer Centre in late August.
We are available for society bookings and we have entered all the usual competitions and our team managers are in place and ready to commence pre match preparations.
The Captains are looking forward to seeing all golfers out enjoying all the excellent facilities we have here in Black Bush.
