Charity Evening for Aoibheanns Pink Tie.

Hi All ,

Last Friday the Social Committee with Lady Captain Brenda ran a Charity Golf event. The Charity chosen by Brenda , Aoibheanns Pink Tie is a non profit making Charity which supports families of children in Ireland affected by cancer.

The response from you all, our members and your invited guests and friends was magnificent ! 122 people played the golf, thank you all.
Some of you having paid your golf entry fee then willingly gave extra money to the Charity . Thank you so much for this.
Many of you brought spot prizes and gifts for our raffle, another success and many thanks.
Members who could not be there on the evening came to Brenda during the week with donations and spot prizes. Many thanks for your generosity.
To John Kearns who voluntarily entertained us with his music, thanks John.
To Billy, Roisin and the staff from Bar and Catering thanks for looking after us so well.
To regular Social supporter, Phil McNamara, a big thank you for donating the lovely box set of much sought after Gin glasses which we decided would have to go to auction. The successful bidder in the end was Peter Kinsella. Thank you Peter and also thanks to all the other bidders.
To Captain Conor and Rory Glennon , a big thank you for helping us organise downstairs for such a big crowd.
The Social Committee wish to clarify that the €10 contribution at sign in was for golf and prizes only. The food on the night was optional with a charge of €12.50 per person payable to the Caterer.

Finally, as we write this notice the total amount raised by you all for the Charity stands at €2,200.
